The Galactic Republic is heavily focussed on the production of starfighters and bombers.
Advantages:
- Strong starfighters and bombers
- Some fast capital ships
- Shorter construction times for capital ships
- Increased tibanna gas production
- Two shipyards (simultaneous construction of starfighters and bombers)
Disadvantages:
- Only one orbital shipyard
- Weaker ground forces
- Weaker capital ships
The Confederacy of Independent Systems is heavily focussed on the fighting capacity of its capital ships
Advantages:
- Most powerful capital ships
- Increased durasteel production
- Two orbital shipyards (simultaneous construction capital ships)
Disadvantages:
- Only one shipyard
- Longer construction time for capital ships
- Slower capital ships
