Mass-produced through DNA cloning, clone troopers form the backbone of the Grand Army of the Republic. Their absolute and unconditional loyalty to the Supreme Chancellor makes them formidable opponents. Their standard equipment is the Phase 1 armor, which serves as the foundation for all future developments up to Stormtrooper armor. In Phase 1 configuration, the armor includes plates made of the synthetic metal Duraplast, mixed with various materials—mainly carbon—and a small portion of Plastoid, a plastic compound capable of withstanding metallic projectiles. The DC-15A blaster rifle is considered the standard weapon of these clone warriors.
