§1 Good Manners

This forum, the in-game messaging system, and the in-game chat are intended as gathering places for the HEGA community to discuss the game, Star Wars, and related topics. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, certain rules and etiquette must be followed. Friendliness and mutual respect lead to more active and meaningful discussions.
Basic rule: Don't be a jerk! This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Be polite and don't annoy others.
  • No insults! If another user insults you, ignore them and report it to support.
  • No scrolling, flooding, or spamming.
  • Commercial advertising is strictly prohibited.
  • No excessive talk about sex, drugs, weapons, etc.
  • Do not mention real names or share personal data without the explicit consent of the person involved.
  • No discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, origin, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, age, etc. Racism and any form of discrimination have no place in our game.

§2 Moderation

To enforce §1, forum moderators are appointed. Their instructions must be followed. Moderators can delete and edit posts and may warn or ban users independently. Moderators are selected by support from among the player base. Unsolicited applications are always welcome. In-game chat can only be moderated by official support team members.

§3 Forum and Chat Sanctions

  • Warnings do not expire and are considered when determining the severity of penalties.
  • Forum bans are issued for a duration of 48 hours to 14 days on a first offense. In serious cases, indefinite bans may be issued.
  • Chat bans are issued for 7 to 14 days on a first offense.
  • Some violations in the forum or chat may result in in-game sanctions.
  • If you see a potential rulebreaker in the chat, PM system, home zone comments, or the forum: report and ignore. Insults and provocations against rulebreakers will be punished like any other insult.
  • Forum bans apply to the person, not the individual forum accounts. Chat bans apply to the specific in-game account. Circumventing sanctions using alternate accounts may lead to indefinite bans.

§4 Forum Presence

To ensure readability, please use appropriate font sizes and colors. For formatting questions, ask the moderators. Red text in posts is reserved for support. Green text is reserved for moderators.

§5 Topic Restrictions

§5.1 Public discussion of in-game conflicts

Discussions of specific negative in-game behavior are not desired in the forum or chat and will be removed at the discretion of support and moderators.

The Holonet may be used to report on HEGA events – Holonet rules apply there.

§5.2 Discussions about game/forum bans

Public discussion of game and/or forum sanctions is not allowed in the forum or chat and will be deleted by support and moderators.

If clarification is needed, it must be handled via private message between the involved parties and support.

§6 Section-Specific Rules

Some areas of the HEGA forum have their own section-specific rules. These are in addition to the general forum rules and must also be followed:

    Suggestions and Ideas
    Bug Tracker
    Holonet

§7 Support via Forum

If you have questions about the rules in the forum, contact the moderators. If you are dissatisfied with a moderation decision, you may message the support team privately in the forum. If a technical issue prevents you from submitting a support ticket in-game, you may send a private message to the support team via the forum instead.
