Every ship and fleet consumes fuel units (Tibanna Gas) to travel from point A to point B within the galaxy.

The cost system is very simple and distinguishes only between internal flights (Sublight) – i.e., within the same system – and external flights (Megalight) – i.e., to other systems. An exception is the save flight, which is always calculated at 1/5 of the regular cost. You can find an overview of the costs in the tables below.


Note:
Keep in mind that fuel costs are ALWAYS rounded up. That means if a flight with 2 ships would cost 1,2 Tibanna Gas according to the table, it will actually cost 2 Tibanna Gas due to rounding!

Hangar Transport Function


Every capital ship in Hega has a cargo bay (hangar) that can load a certain number of fighters or bombers depending on its capacity. In the ship data sheets, you can check the available capacity and the space required per ship. Any ship transported in a hangar is **NOT** included in the fuel cost or travel time calculations.

Example:

Ships: 1000 TIE Fighters
Hangar Capacity: 0 (TIE Fighters)
Hangar Required: 1000 (TIE Fighters)
Travel Category: Megalight
Distance: 1 System (from 1:0:0 to 2:0:0)
Fuel Cost: 0,26 (TIE Fighter) * 1000 = 260 Tibanna Gas
Travel Time: 100 minutes per system (TIE Fighter)


Ships: 1000 TIE Fighters + 10 Carriers
Hangar Capacity: 0 (TIE Fighters) + 10 * 100 (Carriers)
Hangar Required: 1000 (TIE Fighters)
Travel Category: Megalight
Distance: 1 System (from 1:0:0 to 2:0:0)
Fuel Cost: 1,8 (Carrier) * 10 = 180 Tibanna Gas
Travel Time: 50 minutes per system (Carrier)





With this setting, you can choose whether hangar loading should prioritize fuel cost or travel time. In the game settings (Settings → General → Prioritize travel time (Checkbox)), a default can be set.
