During the Clone Wars, the Victory-class Star Destroyers were considered the backbone of the republic fleet. Until the introduction of the Imperial-class Star Destroyers, these destroyers were one of the most feared opponents on the battlefields. Their armament, consisting of 10 quad turbolaser batteries, 40 twin turbolaser batteries and 80 concussion missile launchers, makes them a formidable threat to enemy capital ships.
