Designed as a short-range assault fighter with high speed and manoeuvrability, the V-19 Torrent starfighter was found in almost every fleet of the Galactic Republic at the beginning of the Clone Wars due to its mass production capability. With its 2 laser cannons and 2 concussion missile launchers, it can be used against any fighter of its time. Due to the lack of a shield, however, it was replaced by new fighters such as the Alpha-3 Nimbus-Class V-Wing over the course of the Clone Wars.
