Developed and constructed by Rendili StarDrive, the Dreadnaught class was designed as a heavy cruiser. The relatively weak shields were compensated for by a massive armour to provide more energy and space for the multiple weapon configurations. For our purposes, the High Command recommends a mixed weapon configuration with 10 heavy laser cannons, 10 medium twin turbolasers and 20 light quad turbolaser cannons. This allows the ship to hold its own against confederate capital ships, but can also be used in fighter defence.
