Originally developed and built as an escort for trade convoys by the Trade Federation, the Recusant-class is increasingly being integrated into the Separatist fleet. Despite its massive arsenal—consisting of 4 heavy turbolaser cannons, 6 heavy turbolaser turrets, 5 turbolaser batteries, and countless anti-fighter weapon systems—the Recusant-class only truly demonstrates its full strength when deployed in groups. A formation of six Recusant-class destroyers can easily destroy a Venator- or Victory-class Star Destroyer. Even the massive Mandator-II Star Dreadnought stands no chance against a fleet of 1,000 of these destroyers.
