Account Management
Account Reset
In the settings under "Account/Vacation" you will find the option "Perform Account Reset". This function allows you to get a "new" account without having to register again. So you don’t have to wait for a free slot. ;)
The following will be lost:
- Progress (Buildings, Research, Fleets, Ground Forces, Resources, etc.)
- Planets (Main planet and colonies)
- Alliance membership
The following will be retained:
- Messages & Reports
- Personal address book
- Settings
- Agreements made with support
After the account reset, you can again choose one of the 2 factions and begin building your economy. You will receive the standard starting resources and a new main planet in a different system. After the reset, you can only create or join an Alliance/Empire after exiting noob protection.
The account reset cannot be undone! -> Only perform it if you are absolutely sure! -> The reset is executed in real time immediately after clicking.
After the reset, there is a 7-day reset cooldown.
The account reset can also be used as a penalty for rule violations.
Vacation Mode
After logging in, you'll find the settings option on the left side at the bottom of the screen. Within this menu, you can activate the vacation mode.
To activate vacation mode:
- Click the settings option.
- At the bottom of the screen, under Account, click activate vacation mode.
- Set the toggle and click save changes.
- A warning will appear:
Do you really want to activate vacation mode? If you truly wish to enter vacation mode, you must confirm the activation now.
Settings:
Warning! When vacation mode is activated, logging in is not possible for at least 2 days. If vacation mode exceeds 28 days, support must be notified at least 3 days in advance.
Note that vacation mode does not protect against attacks that have already started before activation and at least five days must have passed since the last deactivation. There are NO exceptions to this rule!
Also, you can still be conquered while in vacation mode if the flight for an orbital blockade was initiated before vacation mode began.
Production and research in vacation mode:
- Only 30% of Resources are produced.
- The duration of research, flight times, and construction of buildings and ships (including queued items!) is multiplied by a factor of 10/3.
Example:
If research normally takes 20 minutes, it will take 20*10/3 = ~67 minutes in vacation mode.
Sitting Mode
Purpose of "Sitting Mode"
The sitting mode serves to bridge short absences. Examples include short phases where the account owner cannot be online but needs activity due to many attacks or brief absences such as weekends. It doesn’t necessarily have to be another player accessing the sitting mode – even when two friendly players meet and use the same internet connection, sitting mode is a good alternative to mobile internet to continue playing without triggering suspicion of account sharing.
Sitting mode is thus an alternative to vacation mode.
It is limited to 72 hours, and can only be reactivated 4 days after the last sitting session.
Sitting is intended as an exception, not a permanent state. For longer absences, use the vacation mode.
Advantages of Sitting Mode
- When vacation mode is activated, it cannot be deactivated for 2 days. Playing is impossible during that time. With sitting mode, both the account owner and sitter can play at the same time.
- Neither mining nor ship production is slowed down as is the case in vacation mode.
- Sitting mode allows another player to temporarily take over if the account owner is busy.
Disadvantages of Sitting
- The sitter can see the full fleet and building count, as well as the coordinates of all planets.
- Mistakes in judgment by the sitter (e.g. whether an attack can be repelled) can negatively affect the account owner.
- Each time the sitter logs in, the account owner is logged out and vice versa.
- The sitter has full control to build buildings or fleets.
[How to] Activating Sitting Mode
The setting for sitting access is found after logging in, on the left under the "Settings" tab, then "Passwords/Sitting". To successfully activate sitting mode, enter your current account password and the desired sitting password twice. The sitter will later log into your account using this sitting password – not your main account password.
Once the sitting password is successfully set, a confirmation message will appear. If an error occurs, a message will appear as well. The sitter can now log into your account using your username and the sitting password. Make sure they check the "Sitting Mode" box during login, or problems may occur!
Restricted Features During Sitting
During sitting, many features are disabled to protect the account owner. The sitter can only spend resources and conduct research, and save the fleet and resources via save flight. Only trade flights and stationing are allowed. Attacks, defenses, and blockades are not possible. The sitter cannot access the following areas:
- Quest rewards
- Trading Center
- Black Market/Cantina
- Address book
- Messages and reports
- Settings
Name Changes
How can you change your name?
→ Submit a ticket to support under the category “general questions.” In order to change the name, a fee in Credits must be paid. This fee is based on the player’s total points.
Example: Player X wants to be renamed to Player Y. Player X has 20,000 total points. Therefore, Player X must pay a Credit amount of 20,000. The prices are not negotiable.
