Attack and Return Trade Lock after Trading
What is an Attack Lock?
If you acquire a position in the Trading Center, whether an offer or an auction, your trading partner is prohibited from attacking you for 48 hours to ensure the security of the transaction. Although the timing of offers is no longer down to the exact minute, this is intended to prevent “intercepting” of resources. The lock is applied automatically.
What is the Tradeback Lock?
The terms Tradeback Lock and Attack Lock can be misleading. In this case, the lock is set automatically by the system and not by support. It is not a "sanction" in the traditional sense. The Tradeback Lock prevents you from endlessly trading goods (resources or units) back and forth with the same trading partner in the Trading Center.
How long until I can trade again?
The lock lasts 48 hours, but only between you and your trading partner.
Can I bypass the lock?
No. If you attempt to trade, you will receive an automatic error message stating that trading with this partner is not possible. If it becomes possible to bypass the lock due to a bug, it must be reported to support immediately.
What happens in case of war?
The lock remains in effect even during war, even if the trading partner is your enemy. Players informally refer to this situation as a "peace purchase."
Example
Player A offers Durasteel, Player B buys the offer with Credits.
The following restrictions apply for 48 hours:
- Player B cannot sell Durasteel to Player A.
- Player B cannot receive payment in Credits from Player A, regardless of whether it is for resources or units.
